Vacation! or as some call it Babymoon!

One of my Midwives, Sherry, called me yesterday and told me that my labs came back totally clear, so most likely I just have a cervix that bleeds easier then most peoples, and just to take it easy. Sherry is Super nice, and I am sooooooo happy with my new office.

Nick and I are headed to Texas this weekend for what I guess you could call our babymoon :), and I am sooooooo excited to see my Brother and Sister in Law, and my 2 awesome Nephews!!! We decided to drive, because plane tickets are too expensive, but I am not really looking forward to the 20 hr drive. Hopefully my nausea stays away for the car ride, and the whole trip for that matter. Now that I'm in my second tri it should start getting better. We plan on just relaxing for the week, and spending some quality time with my brother and his family because we don't get to see them very often.

My mom sent me some of her old maternity clothes today, and it was fun to glance through them real quick this morning before I went to work. I will have to have a little fashion show for Nick sometime to show him all of my new vintage Maternity outfits lol. She also gave me my old baby's first year calendar, which will be really fun to have and be able to compare to how my baby grows and changes its first year.

Well, that's all I have to report right now, prob wont post again until I get back from vacation next weekend. Until then...

Extra Dr. appointment to calm my nerves!

I went back to the Dr. today because I have been having some spotting recently, but everything turned out fine. The baby's heart rate was 155, and you could even hear the little peach moving around on the doppler. My midwife said I might just have a little infection so I will find out my lab results tomorrow or friday. She also said that my pee showed I was really dehydrated, so she told me I really needed to work on drink more water. But at least I know my baby is doing well. I posted that I was pregnant on facebook for the first time today, so thats exciting. I figured that since Im now technically in my second trimester and I got to hear the baby's heart beat again today that it was safe. Well thats all for now!

Baby Bump at 13 Weeks!

Random stuff

I had a Dr. appointment on Tuesday with my new office, and I really like it there. I am now going to Couri & Teverbaugh's office, but I have decided to be on the midwife panel. My first Appointment was with Sue Lang, and she was super nice. I got to hear the baby's heart beat again which was really awesome, and she said everything looked good. I had some questions for her because I had been having some breathing trouble, and a few aches and pains here and there, but she wasn't worried by any of it. She said the aches and pain are just normal growing pains, and the breathing could be a lot of things, but she did have them run an extra test on my blood to make sure nothing is up with my thyroid since I have a rapid heart rate. I go back for another check up in 4 weeks.

As for my pregnant body, my belly is definitely starting to show. All my pants are getting snug in the belly, and I am mostly wearing dresses, stretchy pants, or sweat pants because anything other then that is just uncomfortable. I plan on getting some maternity pants very soon, probably this weekend if I have time to go shopping. My boobs are still sore, and sometime I feel like someone is poking me in the boob with a needle and its really annoying when it happens. I have also started making midnight trips to the bathroom, and when I do get up in the middle of the night to pee, the morning sickness kicks in and then I have a hard time falling back to sleep. My back has been bothering me a little more, so I am having a hard time getting comfortable in bed, but for the most part it doesn't stop me from sleeping which is good because I am already tired all the time.  One AWESOME thing that pregnancy has done to my body... my finger nails are AMAZING!!!! I have never had nice finger nails, they have always been very weak, and they peel and break off so I can never get them long. NOW they are healthy, and stronger, and getting rather long, now I just wish I had the money to spend on a manicure...lol :)

I found out tonight that my uncle proposed to his girlfriend, and I am super excited! They have decided to get married in bloomington ( my hometown just an hour away from where I live now) sometime between when the baby is born, and may when my brother starts back at work, which they planned so that Nick and I wont have to travel with a newborn ( they live in Florida so if they would of done it there we wouldn't of been able to go). I am super excited for them, and I can't wait for the wedding ( its going to be a very exciting spring!!!!!!)
