4 Months Old!!!

Charlie is 4 months old! I weighed him on our little baby scale and it said he was just a little over 13 lbs! He has recently found his toes and has really started to like playing with them. He is still sleeping great at night, which is nice for Nick and I. He has also started really taking a liking to Nick. If I can't get him calmed down when he is being grumpy I hand him over to Nick and he's fine. He loves for Nick to hold him, and he really likes to study his face. It's very cute! 18 weeks old

It seems crazy how fast time has flown by these last 18 weeks. I think back to when I was almost 2 weeks over due when it seemed like my baby would never get here, and now here he is growing before my eyes. According to my scale at home he is 12 lbs 10 oz, which is still very little for his age. He seems very long, though I haven't tried measuring him myself. I looked up his percentile for weight on the computer the other day and it said he is only in the 5%. I am starting to get worried about his weight, and what the doctor is going to say. I want my little man to be healthy, and he seems like he is in all other ways except his weight. He has never been sick, he is VERY active, he seems to be hitting his milestones at the right times ( or even early) he sleeps great, but he just hasn't gained enough weight. I read that babies are supposed to have doubled their birth weight by 4 months. Charlie is 1 week away from being 4 months, and is more then 3 lbs shy of doubling his birth weight. We go back to the Doctor in a few weeks for his 4 month check up and next round of vaccines, I am anxious for the appointment so I can see what the doctor thinks of his growth, and find out whether or not I should be worried about it.

Since my last post Nick and I have been able to go on a date night again while my parents watched Charlie. I love Charlie with all my heart, and it is hard to leave him, but at the same time I think it is important for Nick and I to have time together with just the 2 of us. Nick's Uncle and Aunt came into town recently, and so we spent most of the weekend of the 29th out in farmington hanging out with his family. It was a nice time, other then when we were on our way out there friday my car overheated. Turns out my radiator had broken and I had to get a new one.
