Almost 23 weeks!

Things have been pretty good around here. I have been feeling for the most part really good, and it was nice to have a short work week, and a long weekend for a little extra R&R. We had Thanksgiving with Nick's family this year, and it wasn't quite the same because our nephew came down with pneumonia and was in the hospital for 3 days, so it ended up being Nick and I, his parents and his grandparents...kind of a small crowd, but we made the best of it, and went to visit Jason and Jamie and Jacob in the hospital when we were done eating. I was a little worried about going to see Jacob in the hospital because I don't want to end up with what he has since I can't take most meds, but I think I ended up fine because I haven't had any symptoms since we saw him.

My only complaint this weeks is really my pelvic bone/lower hip bone has been REALLY sore, when I stand up for to long or have to walk very far it gets even worse, but even just sitting on the couch doesn't feel great :(

On a happier note Nick got to feel the little guy kick last night! I was feeling baby move around a little bit so I scooted over to Nick on the couch and put his hand on my belly, as soon as I did he gave him 3 pretty good little kicks. He must like his Daddy already because usually as soon as I put my hand on my belly to feel him from the outside...he stops lol. I also got to see my belly move from the outside for the first time last night. Nick must of gotten him all riled up cuz even after he took his hand away, little boy kept kicking for a good 10 min and I could see it when I just sat and watched my belly. It was kinda funny looking, our friend said just wait until you can see it from the outside from across the room!

Well here are some 22 week and  4 day bump pictures!

Blaaaaah Day

Second Tri has been going very well so far, I have more energy then first tri ( although I still get very tired by the end of the day) I have not been sick to my stomach, my midwives say the baby is growing right on track, I can feel the baby moving more which is exciting, and just last night I think I felt a little kick on the outside! BUT today I feel like first tri all over again. I feel nauseous, and very tired, and I slept terrible last night, and even woke up feeling sick last night. I am wondering if I have caught a little cold or flu, my nose is not really stuffy, but I do feel cold, and a little weak. I think I might go home early today, even though we need the money, I just don't think I can make it through a whole day of work.

On a lighter note, I am 21 weeks today! I am really starting to notice my belly getting in the way more. I know I really need to do laundry,  but last night I couldn't find a sleep shirt that completely covered my belly! And when I bend over to put on shoes or put on my pants or play with Isabel, I get very winded, and uncomfortable. Even a few of my maternity pants ( the under the belly ones)are not feeling to great after a whole day of wearing them, I think because I am carrying so low that I would literally have to wear them below my ( sorry to be graphic) pubic line to get them to not cut into my belly. I don't know whats going to happen third tri!
Anyway I guess that's enough complaining for one day, hopefully I feel better soon...

And the Cake Says.....

It's a BOY!
My Birthday party on Sunday was a huge success, and the cake reveal was so much fun. Everyone was soooo excited to see what color the cake was, people wanted to eat cake before we had dinner, but I made everyone be patient. When we did cut into it, everyone yelled so loud, it was soo funny so see everyones reactions, and for everyone to see our reactions. I got some great gifts for my birthday, including some pjs that had a matching onesie for baby( my grandma Elble), and a cute little blue outfit that said handsome like daddy ( my mother in law had a girl gift and a boy gift, and only gave us the one that turned out being right lol), and a much needed pregnancy pillow ( from my mom) that has made sleeping much nicer. It was so nice that lots of my friends were able to make it even though lots of them are from out of town, I loved being able to share those moments with them! I have to admit it was a little overwhelming finding out that way in front of everyone and not having time to process, but I wouldn't trade that memory for anything.
I am getting more and more excited about having a boy, at first I was a little shocked, and I started to worry that I would not be a good mom to a boy because I don't like boy stuff. But I am starting to feel more confident, and Nick has reassured me that I will be a great mother, and that he will take care of all the boy stuff that I don't like :)

On another note, today I am officially Half Baked! 20 weeks, and half way there...seems crazy how fast it is going. My belly is getting bigger, and I am feel it stretching, but so far no stretch marks. Having my new pillow has really helped with sleeping, I didn't even get up last night to pee! I haven't had any new symptoms pop up, just same ol same ol. I am feeling the the little guy more and more, which is fun, and I am looking forward to being able to feel the kicks from the outside to so Nick can feel it. Anyway, here are my 20 week bump pics!

Baby Evans!!!!

Sono went GREAT, and Baby Evans is just PERFECT! Everything looked great and Baby cooporated enough to get some great pics and find out the gender ( although that is sealed in an envelope so we wont find out until sunday) I'm feeling great, and I am starting to really enjoy being pregnant, it is so much fun to feel the baby move and seeing the baby today at the ultrasound really made it all the more real. I can't wait until sunday to know if we are going to have a little baby boy or girl joining us in March!

Halloween!

We had a great weekend, but is was very busy so I am pretty worn out today. Friday night we went out with our friends Dusty and Megan, I was obviously the designated driver, so after some margaritas at a local mexican joint everyone decide they wanted to go to Amvets, our downtown hangout ( yes we hang out with all the old people at the Amvets, but they like it when we go there cuz we bring life to the place so they treat us well lol) and have a few more drinks. We were out until about 1:00am and that is late for pregos like me. Then saturday Nick taught the Crossfit class, while I worked at the Crossfit Peoria booth that we had at the Women's Lifestyle Show in Peoria. I was there until about 3, working at both that booth and my employers booth ( Kelch chiropractic), I was soooooo exhausted by the end of that from stand on my feet on the concert floor all day I pretty much crashed when I got home. Sunday morning my mom came over ( my dad had to finish up inventory at work in peoria so I mom just came with him) and we went to 9:15 service, then Nick and I went to Jimmy and Nikki's little girl's baptism. Then we met back up with my parents to have some birthday lunch for my moms birthday. After lunch we had to rush back to the house to get ready for the Trick or Treaters. Our street go NUTS on Halloween, everyone decorates their yards big time, and our neighbor built a 32 ft tall Scarecrow that talked, and everyone had colored spot lights lighting up their houses! We actually made the front page of the paper today. We had over 400 Trick or Treaters this year, thats twice as many as last year. We went through 8 HUGE bags of candy! Isabel dresses up like a Bumble Bee, and I was a Skeleton with a little baby skeleton on my tummy. I made my shirt myself, and it even glowed in the dark. Well like I said, it was a crazy busy weekend, but I had a lot of fun, now I am just super excited for next weekend ad my birthday party when we find out what we are having!!!!!!!!!!
