I had my very first shower yesterday hosted by my best friend Megan, and it was GREAT! It was so nice to have lots of my friends gather in celebration of my little guy, and he has deffinitly been blessed by all the ladies that came. Here are a few pictures of the event. We played some fun games ( and some messy ones lol), ate some great food, and enjoyed each others company!

Some updates
So I have been really bad at actually writing posts lately so I'm going to take some time and do some updating so I don't forget to much of this wonderful journey we call pregnancy lol.
First off, a few days after Christmas I was home during my lunch break and I was headed down to the basement to eat and as I took my first step down the stairs, Isabel, my dog got under my feet and I tripped. I fell down falling backwards and landing on my back and arm, and sliding down the rest of the steps. I started crying immediately, and I sat there for a few minutes to figure out what had just happened. I called Nick and told him what happened, he told me not to worry, that he was sure everything is fine. I finished my lunch, and sat for a while waiting to feel baby move, and he did a few times. I felt better after feeling him move but I was still worried. I decided I was fine to go back to work, but on the way I called my mom to let her know what happened. She told me I should call my Dr. Office to let them know what happened, and that they could give me things to look for that could be a bad sign. When I called they told me that I had to go to the Hospital and get monitored for 4 hours, that it was standard when you fall when you are pregnant. I knew Nick was not going to be happy...I wasn't happy, but I knew it was better safe than sorry. Since I was on my way to work when they told me this I just made a u turn and stopped at the lumber yard instead. Nick, like I figured, was not happy, but took me to the Hospital. As soon as we got there they took me up to Labor and Delivery, they strapped me in to the monitors and I sat for the next 4 1/2 hours in a very uncomfortable bed. Baby moved A LOT while I was being monitored, and he kept kicking right on the monitor, he even kicked the nurse once when she was trying to find his heartbeat. I was having few contractions, but really I just felt kinda crampy. They wouldn't give me anything to drink or eat, and after a few hours I was getting very thirsty. Finally my midwife Cherry happened to stop in and when they told her I was having some contractions she immediately got me the biggest glass of water you have ever seen! It tasted soooooo good, and sure enough it stopped my contractions. I got to leave not to long later, but unfortunately it was too late to get to my families Christmas gathering with my cousins.
Second, I failed my 1 hour glucose test, so today I had to go back and do the 3 hr test, and it SUCKED! Really I didn't mind sitting and waiting, the Dr. office had internet so I sat and played on the bump most of the time. The worst thing was getting my blood drawn so many times. There are 4 draws in the 3 hr test, 1 before you start, then at 1 hr, 2 hrs, and 3 hrs. I actually got poked 5 times because 1 time the nurse tried giving my one arm a break and tried the other...but no go, it didn't give her enough blood so she had to poke the other arm again. I should find out the results early next week, and I am kinda nervous. I just want to know so I can either keep doing what I'm doing, or I can start on my new diet.
I have my first shower coming up in a few weeks, and I am super excited! Megan is throwing me a shower at her house on Jan 30th, and it will be so nice to see a bunch of my friends all gathered just for my little guy. My sister in law Jamie is throwing me another shower sometime in February, and that will be a fun one to because there will be some people at that shower that I don't get to see very often.
Well I think thats about all for now, here are a few pics from the last few days...

Christmas 2010!
Christmas is now officially over for us. Between both our families we had 4 Christmases, but we only made it to 3 because of my little fall this last week ( more on that later). Anyway here are a few pictures from them. I am starting to officially look HUGE, but thankfully ( well I think I should be thankful for this...) I don't feel as huge as I look.
