Charlie got pink eye this month, it started in one eye and then a week later got it in the other eye. Luckily it didn't bother him to much, it just looked yucky. It was also difficult to put in the drops, I had to do it while nursing so he would sit still long enough to get them in his eye. Charlie also figured out how to drink out of his sippy cup. It is still not his favorite, and he wont take just water, it has to have juice in it, but its progress!
Charlie turned 8 months old, and we took his pictures this month by the Christmas tree. They turned out really cute.
We spent Christmas eve with My family in Bloomington. We had a really nice time eating yummy food, and spending some quality time with my parents and Grandparents. We opened presents and Charlie was very spoiled. He got some really cute clothes from his Great Grandparents, and some really neat toys from his Grandparents. My dad made Charlie a beautiful rocking horse, and a really neat music drum box. Here are some pictures...
On Christmas eve after we were done at my parents house we headed to farmington to spend the night with Nick's family. Christmas morning we got up and Nick and I made breakfast for everyone. Then we started opening gifts. Nick's family does things a little different than mine. It's a free for all, wrapping paper and gifts flying everywhere. It was fun in a chaotic sort of way :) Here are a few pictures of the Evans family Christmas...
The day after Christmas we went back to bloomington to get together with my aunt, uncle, and two cousins. Charlie was not feeling very good, he was acting very fussy, and was not being to social. He wouldn't eat his dinner ( which is VERY unusual) and wined the whole time we were there. Other then Charlie not feeling well, we had a nice time visiting with my family. When we got home I took Charlie's temperature and it was 101.5. I called the doctor and got an appointment for the next day, gave him some Tylenol and put him to bed. We went to the Doctor the next day and she said he had an ear infection that was also in his eyes and throat. They gave us an antibiotic prescription and sent us on our way. He started feeling a little better after a few days, but the antibiotic gave him diarrhea really bad. We were having blow outs several times a day. He was on the antibiotic for 10 days, and it took care of the problem. We spent new years eve at our friends house, Dusty and Megan, just relaxing and hanging out, nothing to exciting, but Charlie had a nice time playing with his friend Kamden.
2011 was an exciting year filled with wonderful family and friends, and the addition of my little Charlie man, and I am excited to see what 2012 has to bring!
