And the Cake Says.....

It's a BOY!
My Birthday party on Sunday was a huge success, and the cake reveal was so much fun. Everyone was soooo excited to see what color the cake was, people wanted to eat cake before we had dinner, but I made everyone be patient. When we did cut into it, everyone yelled so loud, it was soo funny so see everyones reactions, and for everyone to see our reactions. I got some great gifts for my birthday, including some pjs that had a matching onesie for baby( my grandma Elble), and a cute little blue outfit that said handsome like daddy ( my mother in law had a girl gift and a boy gift, and only gave us the one that turned out being right lol), and a much needed pregnancy pillow ( from my mom) that has made sleeping much nicer. It was so nice that lots of my friends were able to make it even though lots of them are from out of town, I loved being able to share those moments with them! I have to admit it was a little overwhelming finding out that way in front of everyone and not having time to process, but I wouldn't trade that memory for anything.
I am getting more and more excited about having a boy, at first I was a little shocked, and I started to worry that I would not be a good mom to a boy because I don't like boy stuff. But I am starting to feel more confident, and Nick has reassured me that I will be a great mother, and that he will take care of all the boy stuff that I don't like :)

On another note, today I am officially Half Baked! 20 weeks, and half way there...seems crazy how fast it is going. My belly is getting bigger, and I am feel it stretching, but so far no stretch marks. Having my new pillow has really helped with sleeping, I didn't even get up last night to pee! I haven't had any new symptoms pop up, just same ol same ol. I am feeling the the little guy more and more, which is fun, and I am looking forward to being able to feel the kicks from the outside to so Nick can feel it. Anyway, here are my 20 week bump pics!

  1. Congrats on your boy! The look on dad's face when they feel that first kick is incredible, you will never forget it.
